Let’s examine a claim scenario to see what happened to Lonnie Graham.*

Lonnie worked for ABC manufacturing for more than 20 years until the owners decided to close the factory in the US and move the manufacturing to a different country with lower wages.

Lonnie’s wife Sally only works part-time to help support their 20-year-old son Timothy who is in his third year of college.

The teen driver and passengers all scramble out apparently uninjured, one of them exclaiming what a rush!

When Lonnie slammed on his brakes he jackknifed his truck and the trailer tipped over and the Tesla broke loose and skidded across the highway and a Dump Truck with a full load of concrete hit the Tesla, completely destroying the $90,000 vehicle.

Lonnie broke his left arm but it could have been much worse. Lonnie’s truck is damaged, his trailer is definitely damaged beyond repair and oh my, the Tesla is definitely headed to the scrap heap.

Who is responsible for the accident?

Lonnie? The teen driver who slammed on his breaks in front of Lonnie?

Or will the driver of the dump truck’s insurance company pay for the damage to the Tesla since it flattened this very expensive car?
