He would eventually get to the inner workings of the engine, but he wanted to ensure it was aerodynamic, as it already was a rolling brick. The difference in his victory could be down to the second, after all.

It was lucky for him that he was able to do all of this at Jimmy’s garage, since it would be very difficult to explain to his parents why he had purchased a semi-truck without having to live under the guise of a truck driver for however long.

The inner workings were a bit of a mess, but Joey was able to make sense of it and get it all working sufficiently. After he was done with it, it sure would run better than when he first tested it.
